Michele Sartain, LCSW
Michele Sartain is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earning her MSW from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2000. With over 28 years of experience, she began as a Children’s Advocate for victims of domestic violence prior to pursuing her graduate degree. Since then, she has been dedicated to providing compassionate support in the educational system to children preschool through middle school, and their families. Her experience has brought a wealth of knowledge and understanding about children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and various behavioral challenges. Connecting through play, Michele has passionately embraced an emphasis on working with children ages 3 through 6 years.
Michele is a firm believer in a strength-based, family-centered approach, emphasizing empathy, compassion, and trauma sensitivity in all aspects of her work. One of Michele's key strengths lies in empowering parents to effectively support their children. Understanding the importance of relationships, and how they impact the therapeutic process, Michele works collaboratively with families and other professionals to foster a nurturing environment both at home and in educational settings.
