Katie Krug is a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for supporting neurodiverse children and adults with intellectual disabilities, taking a family-centered approach to collaboration and care. Katie takes pride in providing neurodiverse-affirming therapy, creating a supportive and validating space where individuals can embrace their strengths, while navigating challenges. With a background in special education and clinical social work, she specializes in working with children with ADHD and autism who may be experiencing co-occurring mental health challenges, such as anxiety or depression.
Katie began her career as a special education teacher, specializing in working with autistic children in both therapeutic day and public school settings. Transitioning into clinical social work, she now provides therapy and caregiver support for children, adults, and families. Katie enjoys helping families navigate behavioral and emotional complexities with a compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach. Katie believes in making therapy creative and play-based, using humor to create a relaxed and safe space where individuals can be authentically themselves.
